Are you looking for a fun, relaxing, and inclusive vacation for you and your family? Do you or a loved one(s) in your family experience developmental disabilities? Are you interested in creating friendships and exploring new skills like hula, biking, and art?

Look no further! Our Summer Family Retreat sounds like a perfect fit.

This July, Tierra Village will host a Summer Family Retreat for adults, 14 years and above, experiencing developmental disabilities and their families to enjoy time together learning recreation and art skills, cultivating meaningful relationships, and spending quality time outside with loved ones.

Families will enjoy a three-day or five-day retreat located on Tierra Retreat Center’s 300-acre property in Leavenworth, WA. This will give families access to hiking trails, a yoga/meditation yurt, a basketball court, the main lodge, a hot tub, and a private suite that can hold up to eight individuals.

This year, we will host two sessions for our Summer Family Retreat.

Session One: July 10th through 12th, 2020

Session Two: July 15th through 19th, 2020 or July 17th through 19th, 2020

For Session Two, families have the option to choose between attending a five-day retreat or a three-day retreat. We heard back from many families interested in both lengths of retreats and want to accommodate as many families as possible. We hope this option allows more families to attend.

A family retreat would not be complete without a variety of activities to choose from. Retreat sessions will feature adaptive biking for all family members with the help of Outdoors for All and local-artist taught art classes where together, all families will create a collaborative art piece. In Session 2, Momi Palmieri will share traditional hula through a lesson and a performance. Additionally, with the generous support from Orion River Rafting, families attending Session 2 will set out on a whitewater rafting trip. By July, the river will be at a low flow, allowing everyone to safely travel through the beautiful Wenatchee River. Check out a full list of activities on our retreat page, www.tierravillage.org/retreat.

We are so excited for this summer and hope to see you at our Summer Family Retreat! Help us spread the news so all families get the opportunity to attend this awesome retreat!
