Board Member Spotlight: Wendy Ptolomy
Hi there. We would like to take a minute and let one of our newest board members introduce themselves. Her name is Wendy Ptolomy and we are delighted to have her with us!
Here is what she had to say:
I'm originally from Chicago and worked at a local summer camp for kids with special needs for the past 17 summers. I went to Gonzaga for my undergrad, and I feel in love with the Pacific Northwest.
I've lived in Wenatchee for almost 6 years now, and I was a special education teacher for Wenatchee School District for 5 years. I am currently the behavior specialist for Quincy School District. In June, I will be finishing up my master's in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Washington.
I also just became a mom on April 20, giving birth to an adorable baby boy named Parker! I look most forward to starting consistent summer programs for individuals with disabilities at Tierra Village, and I am so happy to be on the board to help make this a reality.
I also really enjoy being able to spend time with the residents when we make it up to Tierra!
